Austin, the founding partner of Perry, McCain & Boyd CPAs, graduated from The University
of Memphis in 1966 with a degree in accounting. Austin began his accounting practice
in Paris, Tennessee in February 1976, and over the past thirty years the firm has
grown to include three CPA partners and a staff of six. Austin has concentrated on tax and
business consulting.
Austin has extensive experience in the construction industry - prior to starting his
accounting practice he worked in the construction and steel fabrication industries.
Austin has served on the board of directors of several for-profit and not-for-profit
organizations and was the founder of the Henry County Homebuilders Association. He has
also owned and operated two home health agencies.
In July 2007, Austin and his partners, Lynn McCain and Tim Boyd, sold their accounting
practice to Clark Cowart and Fancher Sargent, principals of Cowart, Sargent and Webb CPAs.
Austin continues to serve as a consultant to the new firm of Perry, McCain and Cowart CPAs.
